When Christmas rolls around in the southern hemisphere there are differing ways of measuring the joy and excitement. It can be the blue of the sky, the height of the stack under the tree or even the price of prawns.
However, the way we measure a great Christmas in the workshop is by the sweat of the postman’s brow. If the postman is busy it means our letterbox is full of well wishes from near, far and wide. Our postal service is rather unique in Australia. What cooler way to deliver the post than a bright red, gnarly Honda 50cc motorbike?
For our Christmas cards we typeset the rustic Brothers font from Emigre and illustrated the bike (after playing paparazzi to the postie for a week). It’s all letterpress printed onto Stephen Smart White 330gsm and tucked into sky blue envelopes.
