In its fifth year, Sex Drugs and Helvetica has a format like no other creative conference. Six different projects from six different creatives are presented in raw detail. It provides real insight into a project: the good ideas, the bad ones, the late nights, the pitch, the sell and anything and everything in between. It’s a rare glimpse behind the machinations of creativity where you can begin to understand the realities of different processes.
These are six simple insights we took with us from the six creatives:
“A problem well stated is a problem half solved.”
Ben Miles, Interbrand
“If you’re drunk enough, you’ll do anything.”
Nick Cox, POI
“Better relationships = better work.”
Zoë Pollitt, Eskimo
“What are we going to do with our prosperity?”
Daniel Banik, August
“You have to get through the ‘stuff’ to get to the good stuff.”
James Greenfield, Koto
“We need to redefine success.”
Cheryl Heller, Chair at SVA
And then off to the bar to discuss, digest and drink – under the watchful eye of the enigmatic MC, Andy.
